A History of Growth and Innovation
Goodale Construction is a 3rd generation family owned and operated business serving Martha’s Vineyard since 1952.
From our early days of road construction, concrete block production and a whole lot more, the Goodale family has built and provided materials for thousands of projects, including building Veterans Memorial Park in Vineyard Haven, all of the island schools including the high school and the Tisbury school addition, all of the major bridges, some town halls, libraries, septic treatment plants, the Martha's Vineyard Hospital, the MV Ice Arena, and the YMCA as well as thousands of homes. Regardless if you’re just pouring a walkway or pouring your entire house of concrete, Goodales has a mix design to suite your needs. Whether you own an older home still standing on Goodales original hand cast concrete blocks or you have recently moved your home foundation and all, Goodales has been and will be there to support you.
Through the years, Goodales has evolved with increased industry knowledge and production methods. We no longer cast cement blocks by hand but now produce them with our automated block machine.. In our early days foundations were entirely made of our block. We then grew out of the days of batching into mixers one yard at a time. Now we have a fully automated computer-controlled batching plant that is MA DOT approved. With a fleet of 12 mixers, Goodales has repeatedly proven over 350 cubic yards of concrete can be produced in a day. With the large fleet, Goodales is capable of working on multiple jobs simultaneously so customers don’t have to delay projects because someone else has a bigger job.
In addition to providing ready mix concrete Goodales supplies so much more for customer projects. For the landscapers, a variety of sand and aggregates, top soils, compost, and mulch await pickup or delivery. Additionally, Goodales offers precast products for septic systems, drainage, and retaining wall needs. Goodales also stocks a wide variety of other products to meet your building needs, including masonry, steel, and PVC. Most recently we have added the ability to make hydraulic hoses for your equipment.
