Understanding Your Foundation
Ground Preparation
Before beginning a foundation, you need to be sure the ground will support the structure. Talk to your engineer and/or excavation company about what is needed. Concrete strength does not matter if the soil cannot support the load while the concrete is curing.
Footings
Footings are an important part of the foundation as they can make up for deficiencies in ground conditions and are integral to helping hold your wall against ground pressure
when backfilled.
Walls
Walls are obviously where the foundation really takes shape. Whether you're just needing a frost wall or your planning on a finished basement, a lot can be achieved with walls.
Basement spaces must be waterproofed. This can be done with tar or an integral admix.

Floors
Floors are what we live on. The properties of your concrete floor depend on what you intend to do with it. Garage floors, basement floors, kitchen floors or upper deck floors -there is a way to do it with concrete. Where you have a desire, let us be part of the solution.
Backfill
The proper backfill can be the difference between a solid foundation and a cracked foundation. Too many people miss the importance of this step until its too late. The backfill you use is putting pressure against your foundation walls. Does it absorb too much water? Does it have no place to drain to? The right contractor and the right materials can make all the difference.
